Spirit beat Breakers
The Sydney Spirit sunk a free throw in the dying seconds to score an 86-85 victory over the New Zealand Breakers in their Australian National Basketball League clash in Sydney. The Spirit led at half time, before the Breakers surged to a 4 four lead at three-quarter time… however a pair of missed free-throws from Breakers veteran Tony Ronaldson with under three minutes remaining proved decisive as the Spirit built a three-point lead with 15 seconds on the clock. ..read more..

Ronaldson takes out ANBL honours
The New Zealand Breakers’ ageless forward Tony Ronaldson has been rewarded for an outstanding contribution in his side’s last two NBL victories by being named Player of the Week for round 14. The NBL games played record-holder, (621, and counting) averaged 24.5 points, five rebounds and 3.5 assists in victories over Sydney (in Auckland) and the Wildcats (in Perth) to return the Breakers to their winning ways after their shock home loss to Townsville and subsequent week off. ..read more..

And1 Asia/Pacific Mixtape
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an And1 mixtape start of as good as this one, and its not because of the half naked Japanese woman dancing in G-strings at the begining (although it did help) but a combination of the best editing and music I’ve seen on an And1 tape. Japans game was hype, they probably had the most fanatical fans on the whole Asia/Pacific Tour. Unfortunitly their players were not so good, out of all the games they were the only team not to have any highlights. ..read more..

2005 Auckland And1 Game
The open run kicked off later than scheduled. Sign ups were suppose to take place at 3.30 but they didn’t get under way until 4.30. Although there were less people than last year the competition was better. Alot of the same players made it from last year along with a few new guys like Casey Frank (USA) an NBA draftie a few years back who now plays for New Zealand. As well as Casey Frank a hand full of first division players made it to like Dan Ryan, Everald Barlett and Reece Cassidy. ..read more..
